Our terroir
The symbiosis...

There can be not life without soil and no soil without life : they have evolved together.

Charles E. Kellog, Yearbook of Agriculture 1938

Each year is different...

Each vintage is a mix of the richness of the soil, of the climatology, of the grape varieties and of the kmnowledge of men.

Each day, for each vinestock, we have to observ, to touch, to look after, to care, to taste, to wait, and to taste again up to the optimal maturation.

Wine is born from this symbiosis : a soil, a weather, a grap variety, men, a lot of questions, a very great patience, the experience...
"Qu'est ce que le terroir, sinon une discrète harmonie entre les choses de la terre et du ciel, l'attention du vigneron à l'écoute de son vignoble, la réponse qu'il lui donne avec la volonté d'écrire une nouvelle symphonie à chaque millésime."

Montesquieu, « Mémoires de ma vie »

Our partition : clay chalky soils, sometimes sandy, gentles slopes .. , a pleasent climate provided by the estuary Gironde : a lot of sun, few rainy days …specific grapes varieties : Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec for red grapes, a little bit of Sauvignon blanc.

Our melody : listening to the Nature, feeling sometimes lowly in front of its vagaries , adapting our actions, our varieties, touching, feeling, smelling, tasting, waiting for the better moment, the better balance, the better maturity...

Our writing : making our ripe grapes become an exceptionnal vintage...
